It tells us that there were three distinct types of sports: blood sports, team sports, and indivisual amusement activities. One example of a blood sport was bull baiting. This was when a large animal like a bear or an ape was tied to a stake and a group of dogs had to try to hurt or kill the animal. An example of a team sport was hurling, a mix of hockey and polo. The players had to hit a ball over the opponent's net with a stick.

Favourite leisure was hunting. The nobles showed off their weopons and horses and even Queen Elizabeth liked to hunt.

Another famous sport was jousting. This was when two people charged at each other with a lance and they both tried to knock each other off ones horse. This was held for the rich and was forbidden to common people.

One other very famous sport was archery. Commoners were allowed to participate becuase they were the most common in battle. Every archer was in the military.

Drama was one of the most popular forms of entertainment and an it was injoyed by all classes of people. The first theaters were built in England. Dancing also became popular as people danced to music.

Some of the sports they played were football, swimming, fishing, bowling, wrestling, and tennis.

There were also a lot of holidays and festivals such as All Hallow's Eve and the Twelfth Night of Christmas.
