I strive to find scholarships for $500 or $1000 or more. Some are for women
only. Emphasis on college freshman and those younger, though some are
not gender-specific, such as the Gates Foundation. Some are geographically
specific or specific to the field of study.

Pre-university or pre-college women students (ages 16-20) at the time of application are eligible to apply.

Undergraduate students enrolled, or planning to enroll, in physics teacher preparation curricula and high school seniors entering such programs are eligible. The two successful applicants will each receive a stipend of up to $2,000. The scholarship may be granted to an individual for each of four years.

Accounting
The Women In Transition and Women In Need scholarships were established to provide financial assistance to female reentry students who wish to pursue a degree in accounting. These scholarships were designed for women who have become the sole source of support for themselves and their family, either through divorce or death of a spouse. However, women who are single parents as a result of other circumstances will also be considered.
Accounting - Washington
This scholarship is funded by the Seattle Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants for women who are enrolled in an accounting program at an accredited school in the State of Washington. Scholarship recipients will be awarded up to $2,000 to pursue a degree in accounting. Upon satisfactory completion of course requirements (12 hours each term), awards may be renewed up to $2,000 for one additional year.
Accounting - Geographically specific? Albuquerque?
This scholarship was established by the Albuquerque chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants in memory of one of their members. It was transferred to EFWA in 2006 to be administered through its scholarship program. Individuals eligible for this award will be women who are returning to college from the work force or after raising children. Scholarship recipients will be awarded $1,000 to begin their studies in pursuit of a college degree in accounting.

This scholarship is being sponsored by Rowling, Dold & Associates LLP, a woman-owned CPA firm in San Diego, California, which provides tax, financial, and investment services to clients on a fee-only basis. This is a one-year scholarship award in the amount of $1,000, which is available to women enrolled in an accounting program at an accredited college or university. Individuals eligible for this award will be: Women returning to school with undergraduate status; Incoming, current, or reentry juniors or seniors; or Minority women.

Ranging from $1,000 per year to $15,000 per year, Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. American college or university.
