There is not just one but many types of bacteria that cause the dreaded flesh eating disease with Group A Streptococcus being the most common bacteria seen. What is scary is that the change happens without any grossly visible signs, especially if the bacteria have started their nefarious destruction work deep within the tissue. Monounsaturated fats score over polyunsaturated fats in many ways. They are more stable and so generate less of free radicals that create harmful blood cholesterol. They also cause less production of bile thereby providing protection from colon cancer.
