The brazilian flag was officially adopted on Nov.19,1889 four days after the republic was proclaimed
the color green represents the brazilian fields the yellow represents Brazilian gold and by extension, the wealthiness of the country the blue represents the sky of Rio De Janiero on the night of Nov.15th 1889 and the stars represent one of the Brazilian states
