"Being" is a catch-all category in my LJ for posts that are about living, what it means to be alive.. stuff like that. I can't really define it, but I know it when I see it (or write it!).

Nice article on lottery savings tickets, which channel some of the cost of a lottery ticket back into a retirement account for the purchaser.

Our tour begins in Shinjuku. The station here is one of the central hubs of Tokyo transportation, and our hotel was just a few blocks away. Every day we went back and forth to that station, taking trains all over Tokyo. The area around the station is full of all kinds of activity, restaurants, shops.. and lots and lots of people.
