Often, what comes as an impulsive response to a funny situation is more amusing than rehearsed reactions; and this is what funny videosthrive on.
It is the same lack of pretension that makes hidden-camera-prank shows everyone’s hot favorite. No doubt comedy shows cannot come off without prior preparation. But, spontaneity is not to be compromised. Shamming a funny reaction is no longer funny at all. That justifies why most amateur home-made videos, not made to be comical, actually end up being funny videos.
