Gaming, as an entertainment medium has come a long way. What merely began in Pizza parlors and other public outlets has now become an indispensable part of every house-hold. Video games have evolved from being simple text-based ones to those incorporating advanced graphics and virtual, 3D environments. While 3Dimensionality does not necessarily promise better game-play, what is it about these newer games that interests gamers?

Cartoon video gamesdesigned over the last decade have increasingly incorporated simulated life-like features, which bring them close to reality. While the idea of winning a French Open tournament or a Formula 1 series can be the driving force for gamers, the very feel of momentarily becoming Federer or Schumacher, can give them the buzz. And that would explain the rapid growth not only in the gaming market, but also in the number of gamers.
