It’s remarkable how newer technologies make our jobs much easier than we can imagine. What may begin as an application for a specific venture often serendipitously finds itself being used in other domains. The worldwide web is a glowing example of such an application. More as an offshoot of the worldwide web came wikis, which further demonstrate how certain applications find wider-usage.

Wikis are essentially web pages, which are open for everyone to see, share, edit or update. They merely began as data management applications, although they are currently being used for multiple purposes with varied levels of significance. Today, wikis come under several categories, one of which is enterprise wiki. Enterprise wikis are now being used by several organizations as a collaborative platform to share knowledge, views and ideas. However, an organization can completely benefit from an enterprise wiki if efficiently put to use!
