Me, the foodie, this time takes an online trail of christmas cakes...aahhh, i can see the balances tipping even from here; but Xmas comes round just once a year, and I have no intention of going on a diet at this time of the year. Gosh! What will Santa think! So this is the first stop. Botham has lip smacking cases of goodies. and some packed in cute hampers too. Christmas Cakes look grand, and all English, so to deliver at this side of the Atlantic, make enquiries at the site.

A small kitchen with a big reputation, they say and the world agrees. All the way from New Zealand this mouth watering hand made cake comes to suit all budgets, so all packings possible. And the packing is so visually appealing, that it will be a task keeping it till Christmas.

Wow! What a spread! I am most pleased to see the almost-forgotten cupcakes being given a prominent place. I am looking at the Christmas party pack and the ginger bread men. I have almost decided on the Linzer surprise too. It looks most scrumplicious!

After all that richness i am in a mood to try out a christmas cake, and what better than Delia's recipe to start on? Anybody who has watched mama bake would have seen all this meticulous planning going on the previous day of baking, and Delia doesnt assume we know that! She explains everything in detail for ignoramuses in cooking like me and .....you?
