Lingo VoIP Phone - No Customer Service

About this trail:
Lingo Customer Service is out-sourced to India. You cannot talk to an American in America. Indian Lingo Customer Service reps are hard to understand and don't have much flexibility.

As you may know, you must have internet service to use Lingo. I use Comcast who recently installed a new modem - at no charge. It is not compatible with the 4 year old modem Lingo supplied me.

I requested that Lingo send me a new modem. Lingo offered all kinds of other solutions, none of which worked. The service is inconsistent, scratchy and often time people on the other end cannot hear me - even though I have brand new phones.

I called INDIA yet again and was finally told that I would have to PAY for another modem. This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. What's really stupid here is all I have to do is cancel the existing service and sign up under another name and I'd get 3 months free service and FREE EQUIPMENT.

Rather than using Lingo I suggest you use one of WIRED magazines other editor picks.
