About this trail:
If you’re like me, you don’t like going to the movie store. Long lines, bad selections, and the fat guy restocking the shelves that smells like an abandoned fish store; it’s not a whole lot of fun. Luckily, since we live in the age of the Internet, we have the ability to stay in our homes while renting movies, until we reach the point where we smell as bad as the restocking guy.

It really is as simple as A, B, C. Sign up for the  service, click on a bunch of movies to Add them to your list and they start shipping them to you. Once you receive them in the mail, view them immediately or at your leisure. Once you are done with them, place them in the postage paid return mailer. They ship out your next selections as soon as they arrive.

There are a number of online movie rental services available and they all work pretty much the same way. You pay a flat monthly fee. Typically $15 to $20 per month (depending on the service and number of movies you get at a time). Rent as many movies as you like in that period. The only limitation is how fast you watch and return the DVD's for new ones. Most people rent 2 or 3 movies a week. This allows you about a dozen DVD's a month for the one fee. Online DVD rental is much less than you would pay for in-store movie rental. Its about 3 to 4 times cheaper. And if you watch more than 2 or 3 a week, renting movies online gets even cheaper.

Rob Pegoraro says this...'Until they learn from the example of the music industry -- offer their content at a discount online, but at a quality comparable to what you'd get in the store -- this online video-rental business isn't going anywhere'. Agree ?

Ever since VCRs stormed into our homes 20 years ago, Americans have enjoyed the luxury of watching feature films of their choosing in the comfort of their own home. Video rental stores appeared on every street corner, including the ubiquitous Blockbuster Video Stores. Then along came DVDs, and it suddenly became viable to rent and ship DVDs through the mail due to their small size and light weight. Renting DVD movies online can save you time and money. Here is a list of some of the leading sites for renting DVD movies online .
