Marcus Garvey is considered to be the father of the Black Nationalist movement. In the 1920's, Garvey founded the UNIA. Garvey's message was so strong that it impacted people all over the world. Garvey started the back to Africa movement, but failed to see his dream come to fruition before his deportation back to Jamaica.
