It appears AOL supports free speech on the Internet. That's cool.

Well, in 1998 it appears AOL support hassle-free & convenient shopping--online!!! Remember when we had to do all of that Internet shopping offline?

In 1999 AOL.com prepared for Y2K by looking like this. My favorite feature: Save Surfin'. Basically, AOL shows parents and kids what Safe Surfin' is all about.
4
In 2001, AOL made it a point to display that they were available Anywhere. Unlike those Yahoo scum.
5
I just want to point out that in 2002, AOL thought it was important to have a pop-up.
6
Not much to say, but this is what AOL.com looked like in 2003.
7
In all fairness, I am sure AOL.com didn't actually look like this in 2004. But if it did, I wouldn't complain. A very outside of the box type of design.
8
In 2005, AOL broke my heart by requiring cookies to browse AOL.com. So, this is what you get AOL.com 2005.

Man, it seems that 2006 was just a month ago. I guess that explains why this pretty much looks like it does now.

Who knows where AOL will go with their design. Perhaps some day... actually, I think they have passed their prime.

So, that's that.
