To add my two cents to this article, it's interesting to see the break-down of those who support each of the Republican front-runners. Romney seems to be preferred by those with higher education, as well as most minorities who vote Republican, while McCain fares well among students.  Somewhat unexpectedly, the candidates' support among voters also varies based on the voters' lifestyles.  I found a really interesting and unusual survey about the supporters of each Republican candidate here.
