Anyone who wrote yesterday can write today, its just a question of if they can do it to their own satisfaction. It's not the fear of writing that blocks people, it's its fear of not writing well; something quite different. Certainly ever writer has moments of paralysis, including myself, but the way out is to properly frame whats going on, and writers block, as commonly misunderstood, is a red herring.

The simple statement I dont want the Internet hides misperceptions and personal beliefs that many novices and nonusers hold about technology. Most nonusers have limited opportunity to interact with those embracing technology. Inclusion in (and exclusion from) a technologically rich lifestyle creates feedback loops that inhibit technology learning in nonusers, while facilitating it in experienced users. Such factors compound, leaving nonusers unaware of and uninterested in technologys benefit.

ne of the companies that would easily classify as a poster-startup for Web 2.0 is YouTube. Since its launch in February 2005, it’s managed to attract crowds, cross milestones, create fads, top lists, and even get a mention at this year’s Emmys! Founded by three early PayPal employees, YouTube is a free service that lets users upload, share, and view video clips. It’s been the center of a lot of discussion lately, so I thought it would be interesting to profile YouTube from top-to-bottom and discover the ideas behind its history, business, features, culture, sections, and phenomenon.

When I was a kid growing up in the 70s, I enjoyed the shows on network television like Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Love Boat and Charlies' Angels. But what I even enjoyed more were the syndicated shows of: Gilligan's Island, Hogan's Heroes, M*A*S*H, Brady Bunch and McHale's Navy. What I remember the most though is the actual song from those classics.

For Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty, they show us the progression of this young woman from the way she looks au natural to an "end" product that will be used in a billboard on the street for an imaginary company. Dove is showing what typically happens in photoshoots for advertising purposes.

There is a Helsinki Complaints choir that sings about everyday frustrating things in life. Whether you're in Finland or the U.S., some gripes are universal. Their voices are exquisite, and I could listen to this kind of bitching all day long.
