About this trail:
Ok I finally got a big green egg. Here is a trail with my comparison shopping... I like the looks of the primo oval grills, but, they aren't as readily available in the Seattle area.
The results? So far everything I've tried has turned out great, even though i'm still figuring out how to control the heat... cooking on the egg is very *forgiving*. The biggest problem I've had is getting it the egg to fire up quickly/reliebly and figuring out how to control the temperature. I think its time to look into the electric starter

I like the oval shape... not classic style but seems more practical

4) Grill Dome Large. Looks reasonably priced and high quality... their forum has some great comparison posts between the different types. The Big Green Egg, the Primo grills and Grill Dome seem to be the most popuplar.

This is a more reasonably priced grill than the green egg. ~500 for the extra large with stainless fittings. And their forum members a just as fanatical fans as the green egg fans.
