Classic two place "tail dragger". 85 HP Continental engine. 640 hrs. SMOH. 10 STOH. New Millinium Superior Cylinders. New pistons, rings, complete top end. Bracket air filter. Slick mags. Polished aluminum fusillage and tail feathers. Ceconite wings. Maule tail wheel. Cleveland brakes. 150 exhaust. Artificial Horizon. King KX 170B Nav Com. Voice activated Intercom with 2 headsets. Strobe. It has a set of streamlined wheel pants but they are not installed. New battery. Hangared at Evergreen Airport for past 24 years. Cruise at 112 MPH @ 4.5 GPH. Climb @ 700 FPM. The 140's are equipped with wing flaps for quicker take-offs and slower landings. I have owned this little bird for 26 years and never had any flying problems. She is easy to fly, easy to land and easy to taxi. And easy on the eyes too. She is currently hangared at Camas-Washougal airport. (Grove Field) The upholstery is fine but the headliner needs help. I replaced all the plexiglass about 15 years ago, including the windshield. Two years ago I had $6000 of engine and airframe improvements done. The new top-end components (cylinders, pistons, etc. By Millinium Mfg.) are much better than the original parts from 1946 due in large part to the metalurgical advances gained over the past 62 years since the plane was built. If you love to fly, this gas sipper will help you afford to stay in the sky. As the years go by, this classic tail-dragger will only become more valuable. A good investment as well as a great flyer. I taught my son and my grandson to fly in this little jewel. Must sell due to health problems. Call or e-mail for photos. 360-695-5490.
