Judge Orders U.S. to Release Names of 9/11 Detainees

Reading this NY Times artile from 8/3/02 makes me wonder how our nation can behave in such intolerant and secretive ways!  How can we feel there is freedom and tolerance when our own US Justice Department made over one thousand secret arrests and detentions of individuals in the United States after September 11th. Who was targeted? Mostly non-U.S. citizens from the Middle East and South Asia were placed in secret custody. I'm sorry, Mr. Bush. I believe the laws of our nation apply to all who are on our land, not only card-carrying US citizens.
