About this trail:
A good starting point
1
How to being researching IT and hotels. First you need to know that hotels are in the "hospitality" industry. So, I set my google search bar to read: hospitality +periodicals. We need to be thinking like hotel business people, so I thought, hey, let's look for periodicals that we should be reading that are relevant to the case study. When I find some fruit on the vine, I'll add theme to my RSS feed reader and put them in my business & employment category. That way I'll be reading industry news.
2
A good starting point for finding online magazines. To the right I see latest hospitality news links. Beware, the one for Indonesia was written in Indonesian. Anyone fluent? Maybe there is someone in the school who can translate for us? To the left I see categories, and WOW one of them is Technology. I think I'll try that one.

Here we are. Looks like all these links are for sales websites. That can be useful because a good sales website will describe the service or software they are promoting and that will be a low level form of education for me about what is possible. Not a bad start. But wait a minute. I was looking for periodicals. How can I get back to that? Hmmm. I see a link for "Register for our free newsletter." that might be fruiful. Who cares if my mailbox fills up with this junk. maybe something will lead me in the right direction.

Beware of the eHotelier.com They use FRAMES, so you are not always going to the actual webpage. When you are in frames mode, get out of it. Frames are insidious to those who book-mark and/or trailfire a journey. To get to the actual webpage you have to CTRL-click and choose "open frame" . Otherwise your traifire will not take you to the right places. Anyway....this gives me an idea about what kinds of data base systems this company is offering. Now, you are on your own to do your own research.

I googled hospitality +IT and that led me here. Should be fruitful.
