The speech is commonly called "Seattle's Reply", but there is a great deal of controversy surrounding the actual words of Chief Seattle. This version of the speech is said to be a modified version by the screenwriter Ted Perry, writing it for the purpose of his ecological movie "Home". The speech is famous for its beautiful ecological statement and has been quoted in numerous ecological texts.
