We&#39;ve teamed up with the open source projects listed here to give student contestants the opportunity to learn more about and contribute to all aspects of open source software development, from writing code and documentation to preparing training materials and conducting user experience research.</P><P>If you&#39;re a student age 13 or older who has not yet begun university studies, we&#39;d love to see you help out these projects. In return, you&#39;ll learn more about all aspects of developing software - not just programming - and you&#39;ll be eligible to win cash prizes and the all important t-shirt! What are the eligibility requirements for the contest?</H3><P>The contest is open to all students who are thirteen (13) years of age or older on November 27, 2007. Students must be enrolled in a pre-university, e.g. high school or secondary school, educational institution. All contestants will need to have their parent or guardian&#39;s consent to participate where applicable, and we will ask for proof of consent before you can claim any prizes.</P><P>For full details, see the <A HREF="http://code.google.com/opensource/ghop/2007-8/rules.html">contest official rules</A>. Remember, by participating in the contest you are agreeing to abide by these rules, so go ahead and take a few minutes now to throughly read through them. <A NAME="coq6"></P><H3><A NAME="coq6">6. What are the prizes?</A></H3><A NAME="coq6"><P><A NAME="coq6">At the conclusion of the contest, contestants will receive a t-shirt and certificate for completing at least one task (maximum of one shirt &amp; certificate per contestant) and 100 USD for every three tasks completed (maximum 500 USD per contestant).</A></P><P><A NAME="coq6">Additionally, there will be ten grand prize winners.
