First stop is my Google Reader shared links for my Moodle tag.
I created this by tracking all Moodle sites that I use with Google Reader. It's very simple to use. (Learn more at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0klgLsSxGsU).
Now you can see all the upcoming news. I view it through Google Reader, so I know when new news or bugs are popping up.

This trail will take you from a general view on water availability to a specific case of an international water problem. The first two links show how scientist study water usage and apply those findings to pinpoint problem areas and those countries with the largest problems. The remaining links are a case study of the problem of the Colorado River and how its overuse by the United States is having not only human impact in Mexico but environmental as well. This on-going issue is unique in the world since human usage actually dries the river up before it makes it to it's delta located in the north of the Sea of Cortez. The problem with the human influence on the Colorado River system is a perfect example of unexpected consequences of people trying to make better use fo the land. The daming of this river has provided needed irrigation, electrical power, drinking water, and places for recreation but it also has created pollution from irrigation runnoff and reduction of water flow. The final post does have a solution to the problem but it's not an easy one. Here the solution may actually be worse than the problem. Enjoy the trail.
