Water availability is becoming a big issue throughout the world.  In Southern California where I live, it has come to be a major issue this summer.  Overdevelopment and the way people and businesses use water are the main culprits of the water crisis we now see in California.  Another big problem is for the past 4 years, California has not had the proper rainfall in the winters to build up the snowcaps.  Regulations on pumping water from Northern California has also put a squeeze on the water shortage in the southern part of the state.  Not only in California but throughout the world, water availability is a major concern for basic survivability.
