According to scientists, broccoli contains a chemical called sulphoraphane, which activates cancer-fighting enzymes inside cells.  Researchers say the richest source of sulphoraphane is contained in sprouts.

So they made an experiment on 6 volunteers, the scientist smeared broccoli on the skin of the volunteers and the shot a high doses of  ultraviolet radiation, which is the leading cause of skin cancer.

The scientists found out there was an average of 37% less redness an sunburn in the patches of broccoli and meanwhile researchers are trying to make sunscreen on broccoli.
