and memory is at 48% or so. I contacted support via chat and they said things were fine (at that moment cpu had settled at 2 or so), however, cpanel did not show any red or yellow lights under server status. How come? I thought that would be a cause for concern, and my site was slow loading.

In the few weeks I’ve been with HostGator, it’s been great. My old host had some serious issues with the SQL server and connection to my php sites, but HG seems to be superior in that aspect.
