About this trail:
This is my experiment with the Trailfire plugin. This is a trail that shows my usual morning path through the internet. Well, it WOULD be, but Trailfire doesn't quit work with it all sites yet... for instance, when trying to tag the following pages: Boing Boing: Cannot mark this page (TypeError: doc has no properties) Bloglines: Page uses frames So I guess we're going on a webcomics tour first! Click the blue arrow at the top to go to Something Positive!

Whaddya know! Trailblaze works with this one. Will the wonders of beta software never cease. Something positive is frickin' hillarious. Next on the list is Schlock Mercenary
3
My favorite comedic space opera. The art has gone from embarassing to decent over several years, but Howard Tayler knows how to write an engaging story. And he's regular as clockwork. Next: Questionable content!
4
Now here's a webcomic artist that's gone from embarassing artwork to FUCKING AMAZING art. And he's funny. I downloaded some of his reccomended music the other day... the Decemberists SUCK SHOEGAZER DONKEY GENITALS. Spoon, however, is quite good. So take reccomendations on indie music with a grain of salt. Love the comic though. Next: ScaryGoRound
5
Quirky, almost always entertaining. John Allison has a way with populating speech bubbles with little bits of stilted hilarity. An acquired taste, but I love it. Next: Girl Genius
6
I've been a fan of Phil Foglio for AGES. Girl Genius is a Gaslight (steampunk, mad science, sci-fi) story of wit and brilliance like no other. Meatspace comic quality. Free. Online. Next: Order of The Stick
7
Self-referential gaming comics at its very best. Consistent excellent quality, great storyline. Next: Perry Bible Fellowship
8
A peculiar, touching, messed up little gem of a comic. Must Read. All of them. Next: Penny Arcade
9
Of course, Penny Arcade is the biggest goddamn webcomic there is. They're happily doing their own thing, and I happen to still find it interesting and occasionally really damn funny. It works as a good alternate source for gaming news as well. Next: The Gods of ArrKelaan
10
This is a quirky one. Basic D&D world building: Make a pantheon. What if the leader of the gods was the god of Apathy? Really not that into being a god... It's fascinating, and occasionally touching. Art is so-so, but getting better. Next: XKCD
11
Proof that if you're clever enough, you don't need to know how to draw to make a webcomic. My favorite: SCIENCE: it works, bitches
12
And here's my OTHER blog, devoted to all things Cthulhu and cephalopod. Which starts our science tour: Next: Pharyngula!
13
Brilliant godless liberal. Very outspoken about creationism in the educational system, and the idiocy of the right wing. I likes him. Also: obsession with cephalopods.
14
Squids! Furthering the obsession. Also: they featured my art a while back.
15
Mental Floss is great. Smart articles and brain candy.
16
Ok, so in final review, Trailfire is pretty sweet, though it chokes up on a couple major sites. Still, could be an extremely useful tool as long as it doesn't get into the hands of spammers, or gets horribly misused. Well, they've opened it up as a free beta, so I'm sure we'll find out. I'm looking forward to developments on this.
1. great tour .. must take you all day ....
